If you choose to have a brachioplasty, or arm lift surgery, you will have the procedure performed in an operating room under general anesthesia. The surgeon will make an incision along the inside of your upper arm and remove excess skin and fat. The incision is then closed with stitches.

The procedure typically takes 2-3 hours. After surgery, you will wear a compression garment to help control swelling. You may also experience some pain and bruising, but this will gradually subside.

You will need to take it easy for a few days after surgery. You should avoid strenuous activity for several weeks. However, you should be able to resume light activity within a few days.

The full results of your brachioplasty will be visible after 6 months. At this point, you will be able to enjoy the improved contours and tone of your upper arm.
